On May 8, a concert program was organized with the participation of well-known jazz master Salman Gambarov in Budapest Jazz Club, one of the popular musical centers of the Hungarian capital.
On June, 21 the exhibition of Azerbaijani artists was organized by the Hungarian-Azerbaijani Friendship Society and “Eternal Fire” Public Union of Cultural Relations of Azerbaijan with the support of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Hungary.
A presentation of the documentary entitled "Through the traces of historical truths" was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Hungary. In the film, which was launched with the support of the Council on State Support to NGOs under the Auspices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, groundless claims of Armenia to call this country the first Christian state ever are denied by compelling arguments and valuable facts and their late migration to the South Caucasus is proven. In the second part of the film, broad information is given about the ancient Azerbaijani land – historical Khanate of Irevan and the Muslim community, who has played an important role in the history of this city.
On September, 25-28 a delegation of Azerbaijani turkologists and linguists led by Corresponding Member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Director of the Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi, Professor Mohsun Nagisoylu took part in the XI International Great Turk Congress conference held in Yunus Emre Turkish Culture Institute in Budapest.
On 27 November 2016, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Hungary, along with 50 embassies, various cultural centers and other organizations, participated in the 6th diplomatic charity bazaar in Intercontinental Hotel in Budapest. An event was held under the patronage of the spouse of the President of the Republic of Hungary Mrs. Anita Herczegh. Samples of national cuisine, sweets and souvenirs of Azerbaijan, as well as food products produced in Azerbaijan were successfully presented at the national corner by the Embassy. Taking part at the fair the First Lady Mrs. A.Herczegh visited the national
stand of Azerbaijan and stated her pleasant impressions regarding the Azerbaijani corner.
