Independence Day celebration in Budapest
The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Hungary hosted a reception in Budapest on the occasion of Independence Day.
Political Director of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, representatives of other government agencies and the diplomatic corps accredited to Hungary, including heads of diplomatic missions of 45 countries and the Budapest office of the Organization of Turkic States, representatives of academia, political parties and the media, members of the Azerbaijani diaspora and Azerbaijani students studying in Hungary attended the event. The reception began with the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Hungary.
Speeches were delivered by Ambassador Tahir Taghizade, Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly Sandor Lezsak, and First Deputy Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Head of the Azerbaijan-Hungary Interparliamentary Friendship Group Ali Huseynli.
After the speeches, members of the Aypara folk ensemble Adalat Behbudov and Parviz Farhadov performed Azerbaijani music on tar and kamancha.
At the same time, photo and video materials reflecting the sights, historical monuments, and modern times of Azerbaijan were presented to the guests.
After the official opening, the guests had the opportunity to taste Azerbaijani cuisine.
