The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Hungary hosted the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Azerbaijan
On May 28, 2018 the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Hungary hosted a reception on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the great hall of the historic “Corinthia” hotel located in the center of Budapest. Hungarian state and government officials, parliamentarians, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Budapest, media and public figures, members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora attended the reception.
Addressing to the guests, Ambassador Vilayat Guliyev gave comprehensive information about the historical conditions in which the Republic of Azerbaijan was created; spoke about the important activities carried out during the short term of its existence and the traditions and values of the Republic in contemporary time.
The honorable guest, the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Ms. Petra Panac conveyed her greetings to the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the first Republic all over the Muslim East and highlighted progress in expanding Hungarian-Azerbaijani friendship based on mutual friendship and strategic cooperation.
The book "Azerbaijan at Paris Peace Conference", published by the embassy in Hungarian, English and French languages, has attracted great interest among participants.
A graduate of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, pianist Jala Rasulova and violinist Farid Farzaliyev, who graduated from the Vienna Academy of Music, performed a great concert program composed by works of Azerbaijani and European composers.
The event was followed by reception representing widely Azerbaijani national cuisine.
