Meeting of the Joint Commission between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Hungary was held in Budapest
On February 17, 2023, the 9th meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Hungary was held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
Before the meeting, the co-chairman of the Commission from the Azerbaijani side, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Sahil Babayev, and the co-chairman of the Commission from the Hungarian side, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, had a meeting. Later, a meeting of the delegations was held.
S. Babayev and P. Szijjártó signed the Protocol on the results of the 9th meeting of the Joint Commission on economic cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Hungary.
The co-chairs of the commission held a briefing. They expressed their confidence that this meeting of the commission and the protocol, where the directions of future cooperation were determined as a result of the discussions, will play an essential role in the upward development of Azerbaijan-Hungary relations.
The Azerbaijan-Hungary business forum was held within the 9th session of the Joint Commission.
87 companies participated in the business forum, 26 from Azerbaijan and 61 from Hungary.
Co-chairman of the Joint Commission from Azerbaijan, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Sahil Babayev, and co-chairman from Hungary, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó spoke at the opening event of the business forum.
Yusif Abdullayev, head of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan - AZPROMO, Ismayil Manafov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at Alat Free Economic Zone Authority, and Orkhan Mammadov, chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), spoke at the forum.
B2B meetings were held at the business forum, and future cooperation perspectives were discussed.
