First ADA University Alumni Forum in Europe was held in Budapest
On the eve of Azerbaijan's Victory Day, on November 6, First ADA University Alumni Forum in Europe was held at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Hungary.
Azerbaijani and foreign graduates of ADA University living in different countries of Europe, Head of the department responsible for the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Ambassadors of Turkey and Georgia, Head of the Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States in Budapest, representatives of scientific and academic circles participated in the event held.
Vice-rector of ADA University Fariz Ismayilzade delivered an opening speech at the forum, he welcomed the participants on behalf of the Rector of ADA University rector Hafiz Pashayev and expressed his gratitude for the great interest shown in the event.
Speaking at the opening of the event, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Hungary, Tahir Taghizade, emphasized the importance of holding such a forum on the eve of the anniversary of Azerbaijan's historic Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War. He noted that ADA University made an important contribution to the restoration and reconstruction works in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan on a continuous basis.
At the forum, the newly appointed Ambassador of Hungary to Azerbaijan, Tamas Torma spoke online and talked about the strategic partnership relations and mutually beneficial cooperation in diverse areas between our countries. Congratulating Azerbaijani people on the occasion of Victory Day, T. Torma said that Hungary always supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and is interested in contributing to the restoration and reconstruction works carried out in the liberated territories.
Then, the Head of the Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Budapest, Janos Hovari, informed the participants of the forum about the activities carried out within the framework of the OTS and the successful multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary.
After the opening session, the forum continued with a panel session on "Regional Development and Cooperation in the South Caucasus". Speakers of the panel session were Vice-rector of ADA University, Fariz Ismayilzade, Head of the Center of Diplomacy at Mathias Corvinus Collegium, Rajmund Kiss, Chief adviser and senior research fellow of the Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Laszlo Vasa and Head of the department responsible for the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Adam Imre Szücs. In the speeches of the representatives of Hungary, it was emphasized that Hungary fully supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
The forum continued with a presentation by the famous photographer Reza Deghati, who visited the liberated territories of Azerbaijan many times. He demonstrated the photos reflecting the situation of liberated territories before and after the Armenian occupation.
The second panel of the event was dedicated to the topic "Future strategy of ADA University and the role of graduates". Vafa Kazdal, the Vice-rector for educational affairs of ADA University, gave a report on this topic.
