The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Hungary, H.E. Mr. Vilayat Guliyev was awarded the Order “For Services"

The ceremony of awarding the Order “For Services" with the Decree of the President of Hungary dated July 27, 2017 was presented to H.E. Mr. Vilayat Guliyev, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Hungary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Speaking at the opening ceremony Jolt Chutora, the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry said that Ambassador Vilayat Guliyev was awarded this Order for his contribution to expanding political, economic and humanitarian cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary. J.Chutora emphasized that he is acquainted with the Ambassador Vilayat Guliev for almost 20 years and by sharing his memories, expressed his pleasure to meet such diplomat and scientist, who plays significant role in the social and political life of Azerbaijan.

Then Antal Heizer, the Director of the Central European and Eastern Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade spoke about the role of the Ambassador Vilayat Guliyev in the development of the relations between two countries and stressed that the awarding of the Ambassador with such a high order by the Hungarian President is the result of his activities.

Following the speech of the Director of the Department, the Hungarian Order “For the Services” was presented to the Ambassador Vilayat Guliyev.

Later the Ambassador Vilayat Guliyev expressed his gratitude to the Hungarian President, the Government of Hungary, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade for the high confidence shown to him. Sharing his views on the current state of the relations between the two countries, Ambassador Vilayat Guliyev said that the relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary are being developed successfully. Also was noted that the visits of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Hungary in November, 2014 and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to Azerbaijan in March, 2016 gave a special impetus to further deepen bilateral relations.

The Ambassador Vilayat Guliyev emphasized the existence of strategic partnership between the two countries, based on high trust and political dialogue, spoke about the role of the Embassy in the development of the relations and stressed that the efforts in this direction will be further enhanced in the future.

The event was attended by officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, media representatives and diplomats of the Embassy.
